How do you say I always speak English? 2015/1/21 21:42
Hi if anyone out there could help me.
If I want to say "I always speak english."
Do I say "Watashi wa eigo o istumo hanashite desu."
Or "Watashi wa itsumo eigo o hanashite desu."
?
Thanks! 😁

"I speak ..." is not "hanashite desu" but "hanashimasu".

The word order depends on which part you want to empharsise, but generally
"watashi wa itsumo eogo wo hanashimasu"
sounds more common and natural.

If you want to emphasize that you always speak English, not other languages, you can say
"watashi wa eigo wo itsumo hanashimasu".
(Of course, there are several other ways to express it.)

What do you want to say exactly? I mean, do you want to say that you habitually only speak English even though you know Englishand Japanese, know only the English language, or you grew up only with English?

Hi there! Oh yes I made the mistake it's 'hanashimasu' oops!

(1) I wanted to convey the message that i've always been habitually speaking english.

(2) I did revisit my practice book and realised
"Watashi wa eigo itsumo hanashimasu" is also another way to say it.
Is this sufficient enough to convey (1)?
Really appriciate your help :)
