digital camera lens rental in tokyo/osaka?

does anyone have any suggestions? i'm looking to rent different lenses for short periods of time (day or two) for my Canon Rebel XT.
i'll be in tokyo for ~3weeks and kansai for ~1.5weeks.

Arigatou! I'll have to ask my Japanese friends to assist as most places require memberships and must live in Japan.

I read old posts of people suggesting to buy secondhand equipment and selling it back later but I doubt this is still possible?

Yes, you can buy & sell Canon lenses at many reliable shops.

I think selling price will be not high, but if you rent a lense for many days, buying used one will be reasonable.
