Cheap temporary curtains 2015/3/23 15:32
I've recently ordered curtains at a custom length since the stock ones are too short and it's not getting delivered until early April, which isn't too far away . In the meanwhile, are there any cheap options that I can use for a couple weeks? Any color/ length would do. I haven't checked Daiso yet but I doubt they'd have any? I'm in Tokyo.

supermarkets such as Aeon, Ito-Yokado.
Or Nitori.
If I know the area that you live in, might be able to introduce the nearby shops.

Just covered with semi-transparent plastic bags you can buy as "Gomi-bukuro"(45L size) and stick on the window for day-time, and then covered with card-boxes at night time which you can be picked up at local supermarkets, pharmacists, combini(with polite asking).

Thanks, I'm in Harajuku, probably need to go to Shibuya or Shinjuku to look. Would rather not use cardboard and plastic bags, I can spend a bit on temporary curtains, but just looking for the cheapest ones.

Mujirushi-Ryohin(or MUJI) sell affordable curtain at stores and online.

Nitori also sells cheap curtains online.

or, you can stitch your own curtains if you are a good hand maker. Buy fabrics at Okadaya or Yuzawaya hand and crafts shops and then make it own curtain.

Thanks, much appreciated! I'm gonna check Aeon Shinjuku tomorrow and if I don't see anything there, I'll pick up curtains from Nitori.

Just use bed sheets for a while. Clip it with laundry pins.

There is no Aeon in Shinjuku.
There are Aeon English School classes in Shinjuku.

You can rig up bed sheets if it's a short term fix. Otherwise, you'll end up spending more to buy two sets of curtains.

My bad, must not have been paying attention to the map.

Will use bedsheets then. Thanks!
