Hi. I am looking for a more or less complete guide to the so called station jingles, eki melo or hassha melo used in Japanese train stations. I keep finding parts of information but no page covering all stations or where specific melodies are used. Japanese is okay. I am also trying to find info on jingles or melodies used in trains when about to arrive at a station. Thanks in advance

I have found that, over the years, the melodies from some stations change and that some jingles are used by more than one station. I don't know if there will ever be a comprehensive guide like you're asking.

Love the jingles and melodies played on train stations and inside the Shinkansen. The other day I saw an alarm clock that wakes you up with melodies and announcements just like those on the Shinkansen, that might be a good way to start the day :-)
