上着(uwa-gi) are outer of tops/bottoms both. 下着(shita-gi) are under wear of tops/bottoms both. シャツ(shirts/same sound) is one of uwagi wearing Tシャツ(T-shirts/same sound) as under wear a lot in daily life or 寝巻き(nemaiki/nightwear) instead usual. Also ワイシャツ/Yシャツ(Y-shirts/same sound) for male workers(suit fashion)/students usual as formal daily life style. Aloha shirts(of Hawaii) lovers a lot as fashion item in summer also タンクトップ(tank-top) is famous in summer. But most japanese cannot ansewered "traditional shirts name???". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Japanese_clothingKimono/Yukata/Samui/Jinbei and more 和服(wa-fuku) are not "shirts" category in Japan. http://ja.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=%E5%92%8C%E6%9C%8D&oldid=555...
