What questions are ok to ask a host family? 2015/8/11 11:12
I will be studying abroad in Japan and was just paired with a host family. I am about to send an email to them and I was wondering what questions are ok to ask? Are there any questions you recommend asking?

You can ask most anything that would be polite to ask your own family. Maybe put together a list of questions and we'll take a look.

If it's your first message, you should start by introducing yourself. How much time is there before your homestay? If the time is short, ask the most pertinent questions (things that may require preparation or consideration on your part) and if you have time or do not have a lot of pressing concerns, just ask general questions to get to know them.
