Good day! 1. Where in Japan I can see (in museum may be - some old\antic?) and buy "temari" balls (stores? market)? I hand-made some kinds of temari and interesting to see such things in Japan
2. Which umbrellas we recommend to buy and where (in Tokyo) - strong against rain with winter?
Thanks! Julia

Umbrellas are ready available in Japan. There are specialist umbrella shops, with the widest range I have seen any where I have visited worldwide. The sales person will explain which ones will be the strongest against wind. Most department stores have an umbrella section also. There are even cheap ones for Y200 in the convenience stores but probably not strong enough for very windy days, more for wet days.

During my first trip to Japan I bought a cheapy collapsible umbrella from a 7-11 for a couple hundred yen.
This was also the same day a typhoon brushed the Tokyo area. I was outside, I thought it was just a bit windy. The umbrella survived the wind far better than any I'd ever seen before and I still use it to this day in rainy UK.

If you don't mind going out of Tokyo, Matsumoto in Nagano is known for their temari.
I cannot recall if there was a specific museum there, but there are several folk craft museums in Matsumoto and the region is famed for temari production. Even the manhole covers there feature them!
