Hi, First off, I apologize if I get the name incorrect as I heard tatami-mat is by some refered to the judo mats, not the traditional flooring in Japanese houses. Anyway. I am interested in buying a few mats to make this kind of design http://www.raphnet.net/design/tatami_frame/rendu_top.JPGI am not really sure what mat size to use though as apparently there are various sizes depending on regions. Does anyone know any not too expensive shop to import tatami? Happy for any help!

Hi,
Do you live in Japan? If you are may be a tatami not real, it sells to home centers. A suburban home center is good.

There are shops in Paris that sell Japanese furniture and tatami mats. Same in my corner of the woods in Western Canada...
I wouldn't be surprised if there were Japanese tatami stores in major European capitals..
