Barbershop Etiquette? 2015/12/4 16:09
When going to a barbershop in Japan, is it improper to choose which barber you want to cut your hair? For example, if there is a barber already available, and the one who you want to cut your hair is cutting someone else's hair, is it OK to tell the available barber that you want to wait for the other barber?

If you have been to that barber already, know the individual barbers there, and have preference (maybe he gave you a cut the last time you went there and you liked it), then I suggest you call ahead to make an appointment with THAT particular barber.

It depends on the shop. If it is cheap one they may not accept it.
But it is not impolite at all. Many of beauty parlors for female accept it. Ask the shop.
