Ariake Water Reclamation Center 2015/12/30 19:49
Hi,
I went to Odaiba and Ariake area last year passing by the Ariake Water Reclamation Center. I have a cousin who just now saw my pictures from Tokyo working at a water reclamation center in his town. I had taken some pictures of a strange pipe from the center going into the nearby Ariake canal and he keeps asking me to find out what it is. Just for curiousity of course.

If anyone knows please let me know. I tried asking the center itself by e-mail but I dont think they speak so much English...

Here is the processing plant with write ups and picture but in Japanese.

The last stage is to sanitize by chlorine any bacteria before discharging water.
You can take a tour of the plant.

My guess for the piping/pumps is that the reclaimed water is pumped back to be used for toilet, train washing, etc. or discharged to the bay.
