Currently the few famous email address used by the majority is outlook, gmail or maybe yahoo mail. Well, I am just curious if the Japanese email system would be a bit different from the common ones used these days

Email is email. It's just text, mostly Unicode. Not sure what "difference" you are expecting.

The Japanese use the same kinds of e-mail address used by everyone else: either those provided by their service providers (although this is most often the mobile provider rather than the landline Internet one), or third-party services such as Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail, or professional/organisational addresses.

And because a lot of people use the internet and e-mail through their cell phones, you will also see a lot of docomo, ezweb and softbank e-mail addresses.
