Visiting a wasabi farm 2016/1/31 19:55
I'm currently finalising bookings for our third holiday to Japan, this time we'll be spending 4 weeks and visiting Yokohama, Hakone, Hikone, Kyoto, Kanazawa, Noto Peninsula, Karuizawa, Nikko and back to Tokyo.

I have a strong interest in food and drink and would love to visit specialist producers during the trip, if possible.

I'm already in touch with the managers of a green tea farm near Kyoto, and I have some contact details for sake breweries also in Kyoto.

But I'd also very much love to visit a Wasabi farm. Does anyone know of any that are in or near a destination I'm visiting and which already accept visitors or may be willing to do so if organised in advance?

Thank you

Of course, the Daio Wasabi Farm near Matsumoto comes to mind:

Not too far from Karuizawa.

Thank you Uji, that's super! Just what I'm looking for.

If anyone knows any others in or near Kyoto, or along the Noto Pensinsula, that would also be of interest.

Thanks again!
