Buying air con advice 2016/4/11 16:40
I'm planning to buy an air con.

Does the sale price just include the interior air con and external fan?

Or are all fittings, pipes, cables needed FOR the fitting also in that price (or are they part of the cost of the actual installation?)?

It depends on where you are buying from, but major electronics stores typically include the interior unit, outside unit, and basic installation in the purchase price. It may cost more for a special installation, for example, the outside unit has to be located far away or specially affixed to the building. Covered piping typically costs a little bit extra (a few thousand yen depending on length), but it is usually optional.

The interior air con and external fan are included with the price.
The standard installation and fitting normally included with the price, but, some super discount air con is excluded, so you need to ask at the store.
You will be charged an extra cost if the air con doesn't fit in your room, your room locates on higher floor(eg, higher than 3rd floor), or, need to open an extra hall for pipes(it will be charged an extra of 5,000 Yen).
