Hello again everyone. I'm back again with another question on particular sentence which is giving me trouble because of one word.
Here is the sentence: この年をとった女の人はお医者です。
I looked in the dictionary but I can't find the meaning of とった I may be looking under the wrong word though. I would appreciate anyone that could me understand とった and possibly give me a translation of this sentence.
Thank you very much for any and all help you can give me on this matter.

Have you not learned the ta-form? then, study it first.

この 年を とった 女の 人は お医者 です。
The verb is とる (dictionary form)/とります(polite form). The phrase 年をとる means "to age." So 年をとった means "aged."
So the whole sentence says: - This aged/senior lady is a doctor.

Thank you very much everyone. I really appreciate all of the help that has been provided. I feel like a got a good handle on it after reading through all of that.
To answer the question on if I have studied the た form. I haven't been working about learning the different forms so much, as I have just been going through some of the lessons on Rosetta Stone taking it slow and not so much pressure like I did with Chinese. After I finish all three levels of Rosetta Stone I will probably start learning more about the different forms if it hasn't already been taught through Rosetta Stone or not. I'm just at the end of the first level at the moment, so I still have 2/3 of the program to go.
Thanks again everyone, it really does help with my studies.
