how can I master Japanese language?

Can any who already mastered this language share with me how did they master it?
I have been staying in japan with my japanese husband since 2 years ago. Until now, i dont see much improvement in me for this language. I really envy n admire those foreigners who can speak japanese so well.

Watch Japanese media, take Japanese classes and do activities with Japanese friends in Japanese.

As with learning ANY foreign language, to learn you have to LIVE it. It doesn't help if you are speaking English at home. It doesn't help if you are socializing with English speaking friends.

Yes. I usually speak english mixed w alittle japanese to my husband...
The area where I am staying is kind of countryside .. there is no japanese school for foreigner.

If there is no japanese school nearby, get a good textbook.
Genki is a highly recommended one.

Thank you so much for your suggestions.
I find my listening has improved for those basic daily conversation but any more than that だめ .. As for speaking wise, it s kind of difficult for me to construct the sentence to express what i wanna say. Either lack of 言葉 in japanese or the 文法 or both....
I have nnt practice writing for long time .... maybe it s time to start writing dairy in japanese again. I used to practice writing it during the initial period when i first came to stay here but had given up very fast ; (

Go to youtube and check out the Michel Thomas Method. This worked well for me and gave me the ability to form my own sentences. There's not much vocabulary with this program as sentence structure and verbs are the focus. Some people don't care for this method but it's worth a try.
