27th Birthday alone in Tokyo 2016/12/5 21:57
So I've been in Tokyo alone for about a month now, and my birthday is coming up - I thought of having dinner in the sky tree restaurant, but at a minimum 12500 yen, thats waaaay over budget.

I've read some good suggestions like buying cake from a depachika and going to an arcade, but wanted to see what else people thought would be fun/special to do.

Somewhere nice (but not too expensive) for dinner would be really cool. Or somewhere interesting to visit, I've done all of Ueno museums, the Nezu Museum, the National Art Centre and 2121 Design Museum. I was thinking maybe the aquarium, but I don't know, even visiting an interesting town, with cool shops would be fun.

I just really want to make it special - I'm in Tokyo, a different world to me, so I want to make the most of it.

I'm staying just north/east of Taito, so somewhere around that location or central Tokyo would be helpful.

Thanks

How about spending your birthday go-karting around Tokyo dressed as Mario?

Before this, I happened to find restaurants in Kinshicho and Hamamatsucho by work.
If Kinshicho (the south side of Taito Ward), Termina's 5th floor terrace seems to be able to see the sky tree.

Tobu Levanto Hotel seems to be higher than the Sky Tree restaurant seats where you can see the Sky Tree certainly.

Just drink together at Izakaya, bar, club or karaoke box.

If I were you, I'll wear a suit and a kaito mask (http://trvl.one/kaito-mask/) and dine at Gonpachi restaurant (http://trvl.one/tokyo-gonpachi/) in Tokyo. Gonpachi is a restaurant styled from the "House of Blue Leaves" battle scene in Kill Bill Vol. 1.

I'm going back to japan in spring and I'm so gonna do this.

Or you could don your samurai suit and go around Little Edo (http://trvl.one/little-edo/) in Kawagoe (it's just a 30-minute train ride from Tokyo).
