Information about Yata area in Osaka?

Hi, I'm thinking of moving in a place near Yata Station in osaka
It was really cheap compared to other place with the same size in different station so that makes me kind of doubting is the area really safe?
Has anybody live there or have the information about the area?

I searched various forums in Japanese with similar questions, and looks like there is a reason for the low rent. By Japanese standard, it is considered "undesirable." But many people say it's OK once you get used to it. I guess it depends on how tough you are.
