Translation Help Please

When someone goes through a lot of misfortune it's common to say that a little black cloud is following them around.

What would do the best way to say "little black cloud" in Japanese?

There isn't a really good equivalent that is as light-hearted as "little black cloud" in Japanese.

If it is a series of serious misfortune, one might say:
- Yakubyou-gami (god/spirit of evil fortune)
...is following around. But this can sound a bit heavy :(

You might say
- An-un (dark cloud)
is on the horizon of someone's future, referring to not-so-good future ahead. But this is for the future prospects.

But in a more lighter tone, I might just go with something like:
- Ama-gumo (rain cloud)
...is following someone :)
