Hi all, I am moving to Tokyo next week and am looking for a nice area to live on the Odakyu line as this is the train I will be using to travel to work. I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on the different areas I could consider living in. Many thanks

I live along the Odakyu Line in Kanagawa Prefecture. The rent is higher in Tokyo, but commuting is convenient. Personally, I think that around Kyodo station. Several kinds of trains stop and it seems easy to live. It may also depend on your taste and budget.

It really depends on your budget and preferences including walking distance to the station, room size, furnished vs. not furnished, etc. If you are moving next week, probably you'd be staying in a hotel for the time immediately after your arrival in Japan, so you might want to seek some suggestions and help from your employer (usually they need to help you with intro to landlord/estate agent, and with the initial set-up).
