I was wondering how can I increase my vocabulary in Japanese))
From where should I pick my vocabulary)
When I listen to a podcast, I usually pick the wrong word. I mean, when they repeat the word more than one time in their conversation, I write it down in my notebook but then when I look it up in a dictionary it often be a word that is not used commonly. I don't know if it's commonly used in Japanese but in my mother language we don't use it often.
In my experience, I think picking from dramas is a bit easier but it's so slow. I usually learn only two or three words in a whole drama series.
From where did you take your Japanese vocabulary(!!
Sorry for writing this long question and for asking a frequently asked question but I wanted to know how Japanese learners pick and choose their vocabulary.
Thank you so much.

Read newspapers (or their websites), books, etc. Talk with native speakers.
