Hi everyone, I'm trying to translate a Japanese story into English. Today, while I was translating, I found this "bani" in a sentence. I've searched in the Internet for it's meaning but I couldn't find it so I thought about asking you guys. Can you explain it for me? (I guess, it's a grammar point right)) The sentence is: Hitori no tennyo dake ga, sono ba ni torinokosarete shimaimashita. Thank you!

"bani" alone means nothing. "その場に" (sono ba ni) means on the spot, there and then.

"bani" is not one word. It's ba+ni.
ba 場 means "place". ni means "at, in". その場にmeans literally "at that place/there".
Only one tennyo(heavenly maiden) was left alone there.
