Hi guys,
I just received my (re-)newed passport. I was just wondering if I have to go down to immigration and get them to put a permanent resident seal in it, similar to that in my expired passport?

starting from october 2012 residence permit in japan is no longer attarched to passport .. only residence Card

Thanks for that, Chike! My original stamp dates back to 2007...
I was just checking because I've noticed that while Japanese immigration officials never pay attention to it, immigration officials in other countries and the airlines always appear to deliberately flick through my passport looking for it...
