Special paper for anime markers...?

ok, please help me, i am interested in buying some japanese manga markers, like Copic and some others, but I don't know if using those markers on regular paper, will make it go through, so I'm asking does anybody know if you need to use a certain kind of paper in order to use manga or anime markers? Please help!!

i think that you can just use regular paper, but i'm not positive. if you're unsure, use a thicker cardstock.
