Eligible for applying COE? 2017/8/26 03:23
Hi All,

Im working in a Japanese automobile MNC in india, now my company is planning to send me to japan.

I have queries regarding visa documents like education qualification.

I have completed 3 year ITI ( NCVT) and Post Diploma 1 year and holding 6 years of experience.

My question is with this qualification & experience am i eligible for applying COE?

I am assuming then the company is trying to get you to work in Japan under "Intra-company transferee" visa. It is the company's role to provide the immigration authorities with documents certifying to the relationship between the company in India and the one in Japan, the relationship between your work experience in that company and your future duties in Japan, and the benefits of sending you to the company in Japan. I am not sure of the exact educational background required.

Thanks for quick response.

I have saw the document checklist for COE visa application and it's mention like need to submit degree or diploma certificate along with all experience certificate.

As i said i have completed three year ITI course and one year post diploma.

Therefore my question is if i am submitting one year post diploma certificate, that would be enough for Visa processing?

Please confirm?

Submit the certificate. The decision will be made by immigration appropriate for the circumstances. If it is a relevant qualification for what you are doing, then that is better than something irrelevant.

Why are you asking here for information if your company will be handling your application.
They should know more and experience doing this. I believe it is not their first time handling it. Just check with your company for details.
That, unless you are doing it yourself.

There are different visa categories that allows working in Japan. In your case, I am assuming it probably is a type called "intra-company transferee" that your company is applying for you. In this case, there are important factors in addition to your education (such as the ones I've outlined) that weigh in on the decision by the immigration authorities, possibly more than your educational background. Of course the visa you might get is tied to that job with that particular employer in Japan. Let the company handle it, noone else but the immigration officer can really give you any answer on this.

Then you come to Japan on that visa status. That is not long-term enough for you?

If you have a CoE for Engineer/Specialist in Humanities, you will get a visa of that type, and enter Japan on that visa, and will work in Japan under that visa.

If you mean Long-Term Resident visa, that is limited to individuals with specific and special circumstances, such as those with Japanese ancestry, refugees from certain countries, or non-Japanese spouses of Japanese nationals who have been on Spouse visa but want to remain in Japan after divorce.

If you mean Permanent Resident (possibly?) status, then that is something still many years down the road in the future.
