We are planning for a 13-day new experience in Japan. Our plan is as follows: 1 Dec to 4 Dec - Tokyo 4 Dec to 6 Dec - Osaka 6 Dec to 8 Dec - Kyoto 8 Dec to 10 Dec - Takayama or Kanazawa? (appreciate your kind recommendation) 10 Dec to 12 Dec - Karuizawa or Yuzawa? (Suitable for beginner (first time) and elderly to experience the snow and osen) 12 Dec to 13 Dec - Tokyo 13 Dec - home sweet home
Is it worth to purchase the 14 days nationwide JR pass? Please advice.
As this is our first time to Japan thus would greatly appreciate it if you could advise us on the itinerary.
Thank you

Jump to "JAPAN SKI GUIDE", and choose your language. You can get informations of famous ski resorts. Data from last year, 3 resorts in Yuzawa,Niigata opened 2016/Dec/17 and Prince Snow Resort Karuizawa,Nagano was 2016/Nov/03. I think Karuizawa is better than Yuzawa.

Hi Fuji Trekker, thank you for your kind advice.
Dear all, along the way from Kyoto to Karuizawa (via train), We need help in recommending a place to stop over for 2 nights?
Should we stop over at takayama or nagoya? As the train journey from kyoto to karuizawa is pretty long and my parents and kids may not be used to it.
We would appreciate recommended places for the following experience and tasting: 1. Sake brewing/ testing 2. Raman 3. Sashimi 4. Onsen 5. Ryan
Thank you 😊
