Travelling with the fall leaves? 2017/9/3 23:42
Hi,
I'll be travelling to Japan in Mid November. My idea is to travel down further South with the fall leaves, starting in Sendai, then Fukushima prefecture, Kyoto, etc. to Hiroshima. Is this feasible or am I too Late when it comes to the Tohoku Region? I'll be arriving on November 16. Do you have other suggestions?

Thanks!

I think it depends on the year but you might be a week or so late to get the peak. I think it might be safer to go straight west to Osaka/Kyoto where the peak is usually around the third week of November then work your way back up.

Check out last years reports and see how they went, but even in the areas themselves there are variations - we usually get plenty of colour in the last few days of November when we tend to visit Nara.
