Dependant visa for spouse of student? 2017/9/6 03:00
Hello. I am planning to go to Japan to study Japanese in a language school. The thing is that I want to go with my husband. As far as I know, the spouse of a person with a student visa can obtain the dependant visa. That would inclued the people studing in a standard Japanese school? I read somewhere that before 2010 this was only applicable for collegue students, but that since 2010 there is only a category of student visa which includes all kind of students. Someone knows something about this?

Thank you!

there were two types, 就学ビザ and 留学ビザ. those were unified to 留学ビザ in 2010.
you can apply a dependent visa. but, you have to show you have enough money for two persons expense, preferably without working in Japan.
