Meaning of namete in this sentence 2017/9/7 13:12
In an interview, a video game designer is accused of copying a certain movie with his games. He denies this, saying:

「映画は好きですが、盲目的に影響されるほどゲームナメてないです。」

I'm uncertain of the meaning of ナメて in this sentence. It seems that the most likely candidate would be "to treat with contempt" (something like, "I like the movie but I don't hold [my] game in such contempt that I would be blindly influenced by the movie"). I'm not sure, though. Would anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I do not do irresponsible work like copying movies.
(I am serious about working on making games.)

I understood this way.

You got it. This means to"make light of something" "hold something in low esteem" :)
