Walking around Motosuko and Shojiko? 2017/9/13 15:44
I will be in the Kawaguchiko area in November and am planning to take the blue line retrobus to Motosuko and Shojiko. We will have the time between buses, two hours, at each location.

Is it feasible to walk from the Motosuko Information centre along the lake to Koanso? Aside from Koanso, where are other good view points that can be safely walked to.

On the way back we are thinking of getting off the blue bus at Naetsumi-zawa (stop 121) and walking around Shojiko to Akaike (Stop 117). Is there anything of note we should look out for aside from the scenery?

Looking at google maps there doesn't seem to be much room to walk along the road beside the lakes. Are these roads safe to walk along or are there parallel walking paths that we can take?

Thanks.

Hi,

Has anyone on the forum been to this area around Motosuko and Shojiko?

If so any information on what is worth doing on a day trip from Kawaguchiko and where to get good views, would be appreciated.

Thanks.
