Narita to Kuramae station 2017/9/15 05:31
we need to get from narita airport (arrive 7pm) to Kuramae station, I have been told by our accomodation to use skyliner train which takes about 1 hour, with 1 transfer at Ueno-okachimachi station and costs approx JPY2650. I am trying to compare this with the Keisei Main line (limited express train) narita sky access, I am having trouble working out this route, but seems to be closer to JPY1000, can anyone help me with this option? if it isn't much longer would rather take the cheaper option. I have asked my accomodation and they just keep referring me back to skyliner option. I have also tried using hyperdia.com, but do not understand that site. we will have luggage and google maps shows good clear details with the skyliner option and shows how far we have to walk between changes etc, thanks

Is this useful for you? The difference is 1550 yen, but I think this is not for the time saved (18 min) but the comfort: comfortable seat is secured and you will have the luggage rack on the Skyliner.

Re: Narita to Kuramae station 2017/9/15 18:16
Very simple :)
Skyliner is the fastest LtdExp train, need "LtdExp fee(as Skyliner fare)" plus.
Other and no reserved seat trains are NOT, "base fare(=fare)" only.
http://www.keisei.co.jp/keisei/tetudou/skyliner/us/index.php
http://www.keisei.co.jp/keisei/tetudou/skyliner/us/fares/index.php

And,
Google Map cannot select about using "LtdExp" or not, always shows "fastest" route.
HyperDia just cannot show the map w/route, but smart as multi search functions.

In yr case, if no need Skyliner, this is the answer.
http://www.hyperdia.com/en/cgi/en/search.html?dep_node=NARITA%20AIRPOR...
Change date and dep stn(T1 or T2) then click search button again at page bottom.
NRT has 3 terminals T1 to T3, but rail sation is only T1 and T2, no T3. (See also the NRT web)

Transfering at Aoto :
https://www.keisei.co.jp/keisei/tetudou/stationmap/index.php
Download station map(PDF).
Jump to "Keisei Main LineEHigashi-Narita LineENarita Sky Access Line",
then select "Aoto", finally click "flag" of US(=EN) icon.

That 1 min tranfer is very simple, same platform across other side train, in yr case right to left train.
This is not same time, but mostly same, right train goes to Ueno,
left goes Asakusa and more south including Kuramae.

(Skyliner doesn't skip Aoto, mentioned above link of "Keisei")

"Oshiage" is border stn as "Keisei(fr NRT)" and Subway "Toei" Asakusa line,
but no need transfering "through service train" section.
HyperDia just suggest "Railway company" will be changing.
http://www.hyperdia.com/en/help/help_ke.html
And Kurame is some Rapid(skip small stns) trains won't be stopping,
take a Local(all stns stop/slowest) train be careful.

In Tokyo(even including NRT), train announcement Japanese first then EN like this, no worry.
Stn ticket gate and platform train dep info boards, too.
