Snow in Late November in Honshu 2017/10/2 11:39
Hello

I'm going on a trip to Japan this November, and was wondering whether there are any areas which experience much snow this early? (not in Hokkaido).
By late November I mean 29-30 November, at which point we're staying at Fukushima. We'd be alright with travelling 3-4 hours on public transport to get to an area where there is likely to be snow.

Thanks!

May harder, bc already you can see the snow on mountain hat
but lower ground still warmer so if not fallen a lot melting sooner no lefts.

In last year 2016 Nov, big snow clouds were coming down to Tokyo(warmer than Fukushima)
but this is "super" unusual even as official records history of weather.

Already some ski sites opened by fake snows(made by snow machines).

This ski site is "Minowa" in town Inawashiro placed next west of Fukushima city.

This season will open fr 20 Nov.

Anyway, watch the weather forecast and records of snow carefully.

TV programs of Weather forecast in JP are not so hard for understandings.
This is one of web live program on air 24hrs non-stop, very familiar explnations.
(in midnight btw 1:30 to 6:00 is without a caster though)

Thank you for answering, it's very helpful. We're only going to Fukushima for 2 nights, so we'll just check up on the weather to see if there's any snow in the area worth visiting. If there isnt'n snow we'll probably just go visit Aizu or something.
