my chinese name to japanese? 2017/10/8 19:14
I find google translate inaccurate in terms of translating name but it's understandable. I just really want to know if my name has a Japanese counterpart. thank you in advance. this is my name btw 許自東 ^_^

自 does not read haku, perhaps the previous responder mistook it for 白.
Kyo Ji Tou (キョ・ジトウ), in on-yomi (音読み).
Phonetically, シュー・ズードン is probably as close as you can write it in kana.

I find the idea of "translating names" somewhat odd. Your name is your name :) If you try google translate, it might probably try to go by the "meaning" of the word.

I would find it more suitable if you took the original pronunciation, and had it transcribed (phonetically written down) in katakana writing.
