Winter illumination 2018 in Hida folk village

Hi,

I would like to visit hida folk village at night during the winter illumination in 2018, but I couldn't find any information on the bus schedule. Where can i find the information about the winter illumination 2018 for Hida folk village? Thanks!

Hida Folk Village is in Takayama and served by the local buses (or you can taxi or even walk).

Do you mean Shirakawa-go?

We visited several years ago. We enquired at the tourist information centre about transport during the night-time illumination and was told that there was no bus there (at that time of night). So we took a taxi and when we alighted, the taxi driver indicated where we could take a taxi back. When we finished our tour of the attraction, walked to the taxi stand and there was a taxi there. It was the same driver, he had waited for us! Cost of the taxi fare was 950 yen there, and 890 yen back.

@JapanCustomTours I mean hida folk village in takayama because I'm not sure if i'm able to get a place for the bus tour to shirakawago for the night illumination. So i'm considering hida folk village as they have night illumination as well.

Yes Hida Village in Takayama could be taxi or like a 20 min walk back to station.

No problem. I actually like the Hida Village more than Shirakawa-go because of the variety of buildings and the history aspect.
