Ice, Wind & Bat Caves 2017/10/21 12:20
Hi folks,

Are the ice, wind and bat caves around Lake Saiko worth visiting?

My other option would be to visit Iyashi no Sato or Koyodai hike instead.

Afterwards we are planning to relax at Yurari Onsen, but not sure if around 4-5pm would be crowded or not. We are planning to explore that area on Tue, 17 Apr 2018.

Any info is much appreciated.

We visited two of the caves, and (including the bit of walk through the forest around the Bat Cave) found them interesting. If you go by bus, though, like we did, the transport around is not that convenient (meaning you need to wait for the bus at each stop) that we didn't get to cover all three. I have not been to the other places you mention, so I cannot make any comments in comparison.

Over two days, we visited the Kachi-kachi Ropeway, Momiji Corridor, enjoyed hot spring at a hotel on the northern shore, then the next day the bat cave and one of the other caves, Gem Museum, at a leisurely pace.
