Hi can we still view autumn leaves in nikko inspite of having storms in tokyo past few days days...we plan to be there in nikko on nov.6 or 7 if weather permits...

Based on this https://www.japan-guide.com/blog/koyo17/171024_nikko.html it is already peak in most places. Looks like your not there for another two weeks... Since it does go from higher to lower elevations. Hard to say for these dates. We had went to Lake Kawaguchi around Nov 19, 2014 and it was peak colours at that time as well but Lake Kawaguchi is also lower elevation. I would just keep looking at the reports and decide from there while your in Japan. Its okay to switch to different place if your after the Autumn Colours. Hope this helps!
