Yes! A trip Tokyo-Kyoto cost around 27000yen a 7 day JR-Pass 29000yen If I count the rest of your trips youfll pay a lot more! And you can use your JR pass on JR lines not only shinkansen so it will be more profitable.
I always recommend a JR pass if someone want to go from Tokyo to Osaka-Kyoto, who wants to pay more 1.000Euro on train not me

Klodo, OP is not doing the return trip to Tokyo inside the 7-day period. Therefore, a 7-day JR Pass would not work.
OP, you can do the calculations yourself using Hyperdia (hyperdia.com/en), or simply use the rail pass calculator on this website (use the search bar above).

Answer is yes, it would be worth it.
Of course, I don't know which airport you are flying into but it would be worth even more value if coming from Nartia and using the JR line to Kobe.
Hope this helps!

But it would be a little cheaper and a lot quicker to go from Osaka to Kawaguchiko using a bus from Mishimi or Shin-Fuji.
So rail pass wont be worth it.

Dear all, Is this the best route from Osaka to Kawaguchiko? From the previous forum, I read that the best route from Osaka to kawaguchiko is below: From Osaka take Tokaido shinkansen to Mishima, From Mishima sta. transfer to local train to Gotemba(transfer train AT Numazu sta.), then from there take a bus JR kanto to Kawaguchiko sta. With JR Pass. So the whole journey using JR Pass. Is this the best route? How long is the journey? We husband and wife are travelling with our son aged 3 with 2 luggages and a stroller, itfs pretty hectic for us, so we prefer the fastest and easiest way to get one place to another. Thanks

JR Pass is for calendar days, not hours, so if you use it at 1800hrs, your first day of the pass is only the six hours from 1800 to 2400.

Gotemba(transfer train AT Numazu sta.), then from there take a bus JR kanto to Kawaguchiko sta. I can't find any information regarding this route (Gotemba to Kawaguchiko operated by JR Bus Kanto. Could you please show me the url for this route, preferably by the JR Bus Kanto? There is a route from Tokyo to Kawaguchiko by JR Bus Kanto, http://time.jrbuskanto.co.jp.e.wn.hp.transer.com/bk05010.htmlbut since this is the "Express way" bus, it is not covered by the JR pass. I think the fastest way from Kyoto to Kawaguchiko is: Take Shinkansen to Mishima (which should be inevitably Hikari or Kodama which are covered by the JR pass) and then take Fujikyuko bus to Kawaguchiko. http://bus-en.fujikyu.co.jp/highway/detail/id/29Of course, the bus is not covered by JR pass, since Fujikyuko is a different company.
