Hi,
I am planning to visit Kibune area hiking and after that visit Ginkakuji. Early morning I'll go to Kibune first and will do the hiking to Kurama. After that I'll have my lunch in Kurama and want to visit to Ginkakuji. What will be the best way to go to Ginkakuji from Kurama? I can see that it's quite far from train station. I know there are places to visit along the way from train station to Ginkakuji like Philosopher path and Nanzen-ji. What is the best options to go there? Is it better to go to Ginkakuji first then go back to train station through Philosopher path and Nanzen-ji?
Thanks

Outside of paying for a cab directly, I would personally just take the Eizan line from Kurama station to Demachiyanagi station (35 minutes and 420 yen one way) and then walk for 30 minutes or take a cab 2.5 kms. If it's not dark you can then walk or take a cab to Nanzenji, it's about another 2km.

Bus 17 from Demachiyanagi gets you within 400m of the temple.

Hi All,
Thanks for the info. Cab would not be ok for us since we are a group of 5 people. I think bus will be better since the bus stop can reach as close as 400m to the temple.
