Elevator for pregnant in chureito pagoda?

Hello I am visiting Chureito Pagoda soon and I've read there are 400 steps to reach the shrine. I am 5 months pregnant and I want to know if there is an access for pregnant/ elderly/ handicapped (an elevator maybe?) going to the shrine instead of taking 400 steps. Thank you!

There is no elevator. But a winding road leads up to the pagoda. When the pagoda was less popular, you could easily drive up by regular cars or taxis, but these days, I think it is closed to regular traffic at least during the busiest seasons.

It is closed to regular traffic. But it is not barriered off. So to ask the office attendent at the bottom of the hill to pass. They will allow you up in you car.
