I want To Buy JR Sanin Mankitsu Kippu.So Let Me Know,Which prefecture cover By this Great rail pass.Is it cover Hiroshima & okayama prefecture.I am a residence of Japan.So I cant Buy JR Nationwide pass.

I am not sure whether this pass is attractive to those who living in outside of Sanin area, but if you start from Chizu and the destination is Tsuwano, it will cost more than 8000 yen so the pass (4000 yen) will be easily pay off. But if you start from Hisoshima to go to Matsue and back this pass will be no use.

Further you should note that this pass is valid only when more than two persons buy this pass and travel together.

In general Sanin area is consisted of Tottori, Shimane prefectures (which includes Izumo area) and the northern part of Yamaguchi prefecture as you stated, but as for this pass, the valid area is rigorously within Tottori and Shimane prefecture. Any of Yamaguchi prefecture is not included.

If you want to go from Hiroshima to, say, Matsue, JR is not practical. There is a direct bus from Hiroshima to Matsue, 3900 yen.

This is somewhat complicated. Yes, you can ride on Sunrise Izumo, but only on "nobinobi seat", between Izumoshi and Yonago, and you need to buy the express ticket for reserved seats (nobinobi seat is in this category).

The express fee for the reserved seat is 1500 yen in this case. Matsue to Izumoshi is 1070 yen. Of course you can take Matsukaze and Yakumo for free since these express trains have unreserved seats which are covered by 山陰満喫パス.
