Car Rental in Nagoya Japan

Hi,

Can anyone please assist me? We are travelling to Nagoya Japan on the 11th Feb 2018. THis will be our 5th trip to Japan and we have been renting cars from Japan for our road trip all these times.

For ths upcoming trip, we really would like to rent 2 cars from Japan Car Rental Co. We will be bringing along our International Driving Licence for this trip. However, their answer to us is this :

お客様の期待にお答えしたいのですが、当社としては、

「日本の免許証」にてお願いしております。



ご理解の程、よろしくお願い致します。



ジャパンレンタカー株式会社

Can anyone tell us what it means? Does it mean we cannot rent through them?

It says that they only rent you a car if you have a Japanese driving license.

Other car rental companies will accept international driving licenses. I am sure. No idea why the company you prefer doesn’t.
