Hi
Ifm hoping to visit Japan in January for a few weeks and would like to avoid holiday periods so that attractions are not too busy
Will the majority of students have gone back to school/university by January 6th?

January 8th is a local holiday. After that everything should be back to normal. Also consider that January isnft really high season so you should be pretty fine in regards to holidearing crowds.
