Best months for visiting Aomori to Tokyo 2017/12/29 21:16
Hey all

Kinda know basics or rainy season / summer etc.
Planning a 2 - 3 week break in 2018, due to work Im restricted to being able to go
- April to early May
- Late May to Early June (though would have to restrict length of my trip.)
- Early July onwards

Looking at visiting Aomori moving South To Tokyo or the other way around.
What period would people recomend visiting these areas

How early in June does rain season start?
Whats beginning of summer Months like in July?

Did briefly experience a few days in Okinawa about 5 years ago straight out of rainy season and while hot it was bearable, What would the difference be like as far North as Aomori?

Would only be planning 5 days in Tokyo at beginning or end.

I would start here and also use some google or check weather sites like accuweather etc to further educate yourself about the weather.

Depending where the stationary front sits, you might miss rainy season. It can be quite localised and a couple of years back I had a couple of weeks of light rain each day in Tokyo, but as soon as we headed out of the city towards Aomori, within an hour we were in bright sunshine for the next two weeks.
- April - can still produce cold days.
- May/June - warming up - a nice time of the year.
- July - not as hot/humid in the north, and before the summer really kicks in.
When to go is a matter of preference.

Late April would be a good timing for Hanami , especially for Hirosaki castle as well as Kakunodate and other places in Tohoku regions :
