I will be arriving in Tokyo and my main focus will be Chubu. I would like to go Takyama, Shirakawago, Kanazawa and Geo Onsen. Should be itinerary look like this?
Toyko to Takayama to Shirakawago to Kanazawa to Geo Onsen to Tokyo
Please advise.
Thank you.

Yes, that or the same in the opposite direction.

Where is Geo Onsen? At first I thought Gero Onsen since you mention Chubu, but that wouldn't make sense with the above itinerary and Uji suggestion.

"Geo" Onsen? Maybe that's a typo for "Gero" Onsen?
You can stop by Gero Onsen on your way to Takayama. Kanazawa and Tokyo are connected by Hokuriku Shinkansen.
When will you travel? How many days would you allow for these Chubu Region trips?
Tokyo | JR Tokaido Shinkansen Nagoya | JR: Limited Express (WIde View) Hida: About 1 h 45 min Gero | JR: Limited Express (WIde View) Hida: About 45 min Takayama | Nohi Bus or Hokutetsu: Express bus Shirakawa-go | Nohi Bus or Hokutetsu: Express bus Kanazawa | JR Hokuriku Shinkansen Tokyo.

May be we will skip the Gero Onsen and stay at one of the onsen in Takayama.
Day 1 arrive Tokyo Day 2 heading to Takayama and stay for a night Day 3 heading to Shirakawago and stay for a night Day 4 heading to Kanazawa and stay for a night Day 5 head to snow monkey and back to Tokyo Day 6 stay in Tokyo Day 7 Back home.
Do my itinerary make any sense or too rush? The reason why I want to stay overnight at each place is I want to look at the night scene. I haven't book the flight ticket yet. I can always stay for one or more days.
Since we are going to different places everyday. I was thinking of backpacking, it may be better to carry luggage in the train /bus. What do you think?
Thanks.

Have you looked into flying into Nagoya instead of Tokyo? It seems in your itinerary that you are not interested in Tokyo at all. You could get more time in Chubu by flying directly into Chubu airport. Just a thought.

I am from Canada and there is no direct flight to Nagoya. Unless I make a transit...
