If all efforts fail, you can still buy the pass in Japan:

yes,i asked the agents but they cant do it for me,because its a side work for them and wouldnt know how to order it.
....

i can buy it inside Japan?
i read some itinerary that the tourists cant buy it inside japan and only outside.
if you sure we can buy it direct in JRail Offices so there is no problem for me.
thank you for help.

You need to pay more, and when are you visiting? Read all the information carefully.

if i found an agent to order it for me,they charge more money for sure.(around same 4000yen i think)
and i want to travel around 8 march.
is there a problem about it?
.
if there is a better way i will be glad to hear it.

Re: How to Buy JRailPass from Iran? 2018/1/30 00:59
Yes, I think your best option is to go to a main JR travel center when you arrive to Japan and purchase the pass.

I would recommend you use a site like Hyperdia.com to calculate the regular cost of the train trips you plan to make and be sure that the JR pass will save you money. Also keep in mind the schedule to ensure it matches the pass duration. This is especially true if paying the ~10% extra for purchase of the pass in Japan.

Hi

You say you want to travel around the 8th March. Do you have a visa already? The process for Iranian nationals may be quite time consuming and require a variety of documents so I would urge you to arrange your visa asap and then worry about the JRP...

There are other JR regional passes you can purchase upon arrival. I would suggest you mention your itinerary, so the "members" in this forum would be able to assist you further.

The Japan Rail Pass is sold in a very limited number of stations :
Sapporo, Sendai, Niigata, Tokyo, Shinjuku, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, Hiroshima, Takamatsu, Hakata

And in the Airport listed bellow :
New Chitose Airport, Narita Airport, Haneda Airport, Kansai Airport

first, thank you so much for help.

about itinerary;
4days in Tokyo and then go to Kyoto for staying and visiting Nara,Osaka and probably Hiroshima and Miyaji island.
i think its better to get the JRpass, right?
.
yes,im sure it is so hard for me to get Japan visa in this shortage of time and because of the bad rate of currency maybe i change the date to april-may...
so then i cant buy JRP at that time,am i correct?

.
so if my travel changes to april-may,what can i do and what do you recommand for me?

Re: your itinerary and transportation 2018/2/1 04:13
4days in Tokyo and then go to Kyoto for staying and visiting Nara,Osaka and probably Hiroshima and Miyaji island.

So, you will fly out from Kansai Airport [KIX]?
Will you fly into Narita [NRT]or maybe Tokyo Haneda [HND]?

When you plan to visit also Hiroshima City and Miyajima Island,
I suggest you make a combination of JR regular tickets to go to Kyoto
(available at 13400 to 13800 yen, for a Shinkansen Hikari train ride with your seat reserved)
and a JR-West (5-day) Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass
(available at 13500 yen when ordered outside Japan) for your trips in western Japan.
The sum of the prices is 26900 to 27300 yen, a little less than the price 29110 yen of a 7-day Ordinary-Class Japan Rail Pass to be applied when it is ordered outside Japan.
(Here a fluctuation in the currency exchange rate is not considered.)

This JR-West pass can be booked in advance via the website then purchased in Kyoto Station, at the JR Ticket Office near Central Gate of the non-Shinkansen zone.
- JR-West Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass
http://www.westjr.co.jp/global/en/ticket/pass/kansai_hiroshima/

When you take this option,
you don't have to struggle for your rail pass before your arrival,
neither to try to pack your major JR train rides within 7 consecutive days;
also, unlike the Japan Rail Pass, this JR-West pass allows you to take Shinkansen Nozomi and Mizuho trains between Shin-Osaka and Hiroshima.

A possible demerit is that a JR-West pass is not valid on the Shinkansen section Kyoto -- Shin-Osaka, which is operated by JR Central, not JR West.
You can take a Special Rapid train (on the JR Kyoto Line) to go between Kyoto and Shin-Osaka or Osaka.
Shinkansen is available at Shin-Osaka Station, but not at Osaka Station.

maybe i change the date to April-May...

In that case, please pay attention to the Golden Week holiday season, which in 2018 will be from 28 April until 6 May; popular tourist spots may be much crowded with visitors.

Re: How to Buy JRailPass from Iran? 2018/2/1 05:58
that was a good question,i will go back to Tokyo from Kyoto for flying out that means i need a 2way ticket
for 26000yen just for traveling between Tokyo and Kyoto.right?
and i want to visit Nara and Osaka for sure.then if our staying time be allright i go to Hiroshima and Miyajima.
.
that was a great guide for itinerary transportation. i will use that without a doubt.
but what about the flight?my flight for in and out is Narita.
that will change the plan for sure and i think i can use the JRP for metro and around the Tokyo & Kyoto, right?
.
golden week?
i didnt know about that, the prices will go high and everywhere is crowded in that time?
but let me ask about this,is the march better or may-april for tourists?when i say better i mean the weather and sight seeing.
and i love to be in Tokyo for anime fair but unfortunately its in our new year holiday.

Re: your itinerary and transportation (2) 2018/2/3 12:17
Oh, your arrival and departure will be both at Narita Airport.

In a case where you make all your trips
(to Tokyo, Kyoto City, Nara City, Osaka City, Hiroshima City and Miyajima Island)
within 7 consecutive calendar days,
a 7-day Japan Rail Pass could be a good deal,
but that would be too tight....

Narita Airport and Tokyo's Ginza area are connected by low cost bus.
- The Access Narita
http://accessnarita.jp/en/home/#timetable-title-3386

ANA is offering to foreign visitors discount prices for its domestic flights.
- ANA: Experience JAPAN Fare
https://www.ana.co.jp/en/us/promotions/share/experience_jp/

With these two options considered,
the total cost on major legs
(from (A) to (J) shown in the next response)
is estimated at around 34000 yen.

Merits of making this combination are
that you can save cost (and maybe time) to go between Tokyo and Osaka
and that you can have much time for your Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto trips before you begin to use your JR pass.

(From Tokyo you can make a round trip to Hakone to see Mount Fuji;
the additional cost is estimated at 4000 to 7000 yen.)

let me ask about this,is the march better or may-april for tourists?

It is difficult to answer this question simply.

Generally it is warmer in the Golden Week season,
which may be a merit over early March.

In early March tourism is not likely to be very busy,
which may be a merit over the Golden Week season.

Re: How to Buy JRailPass from Iran? 2018/2/4 20:14
so in total its better to get the JRP ticket.
but if under the bad circumstances that the ticket becomes unavailable for me its better to use this transportation for my itinerary, right?

that was a complete guide.and that ANA flight,you mentioned,is awesome.thank you
sorry it wont get complicated in my tight itinerary? i need to use that carefully.
.
i think i go in golden week or before or after that,i choose warm weather over cold.
and thank you again for these useful information,i like to ask question in this forum, thank you.
