mixed gender/couple onsen list/search

Hi,

I've searched through some old threads but couldn't find much.
As I will be travelling with my female friend we want to enjoy to onsen together as a couple.
So I wonder if there is any good way like a list or search to find onsen which are mixed gender or have special offers for couples.

We already will go to Takaragawa which is probably one of the best options anyway.
But it seems to be the major spot you will find if you search for an onsen like this.

We are mainly travelling around Gunma, Gifu and Tokyo area.

I've never been to a mixed gender onsen but many ryokan have private onsen in the room, if that works for you.

Also this one in Takayama (Gifu) http://www.hanaougi.co.jp/english/spa/ have open air bath for rent. You book on the day at the reception. 50 minutes around 3000 yen.

There are mixed gender baths so probably your best option.

If you are willing to travel further, Nyuto onsen is highly recommended:

There are many more also closer to your destination. (Nyuto onsen is nice though and it has both segregated pools as well as mixed ones). Most of them will be in rather rural parts of Japan as in some prefectures mixed public bathing is actually prohibited (eg Tokyo).

If you book a room with a private onsen or a hotel that has a family onsen that is being hired for an hour or so, you can obviously bath together with whom ever you want.

But mixed public bathing is different.
