How to get to Nikko from Tokyo

We are staying in Tokyo and we need to be in Nikko Nov.1 st at 11.00 am! I don't know exactly where in Tokyo yet, so I understand if it is hard to answer this! But it is easy to take the train? How long will it take by train? What station can we leave from and where to? Nikko Station? We will buy JR Pass! Sorry for my english! :)

It is too hard to answer without knowing where you are staying. There are several ways to get there, but they all take about 2-2.5 hours depending on how close to a major station your hotel is. There is a good guide for getting to Nikko on this site: https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3805.html

Anyway, traveling by train in Japan is very easy even if you don't speak or read a word of Japanese. So don't worry.
