Going to be in Tokyo during the first two weeks of March and wanted to visit nakameguro. Is it worth the visit at this time? Would I see some early blossoms or would the trees be completely leave less and dead?

Blossoms won't be open in early March. Check the cherry blossom forecast.

I'm afraid the cherry trees will still be in total winter mode. But the river of Meguro-gawa itself (which is what you're talking about) is a nice place to walk along in any season, and there are many cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. You'll love it if you happen to be in the neighborhood.
