JP ATM withdrawal limit 2018/3/7 14:52
I need to withdraw 300,000 yen from my American debit card.

I know Japan Post ATM's withdrawal limit for overseas cards if 50,000 yen.

Is there a limit on how many times you can withdraw in one day?

For instance, can I withdraw 50,000 yen six times in one day?

Or do I have to withdraw 50,000 once for six days?

100,000 I'm pretty sure is an option on 7-11 ATMs.

100,000 yen per withdrawal. So you may be able just to do three withdrawals.

I think your actual daily limit would be set by your bank itself. So you may need to get into contact with them.

You may have to bite the bullet and use a currency exchange service if you need that much right away.

The daily ATM trip is probably what I like least about visiting Japan.

As above, you probably need to look into your own bankfs daily limit.
With a UK card I can withdraw from JP and from the 7-11 ATMs on the same day.
This allows me to take plenty of cash in a day if needs must.
Also, Ifm always with my wife, so limits are doubled...

And also if your bank has a daily limit you have to find out what timing they use...i.e., 24 hours between withdrawals or from a certain time of day in a certain time zone....I went through that issue as well....good luck!
