Tokyo subway first trains 2018/3/9 19:05
Hi,
I was looking for hotels in Tokyo area around the Yamanote / Chuo lines but seems there are more options away from these railway lines as well, mostly near train stations.

I usually start my day early as I make many day trips with shinkansen or other long distance trains, but for that I want to make it by the earliest train.

Does subway trains start early enough or are the local train lines still the earliest?

There are no Shinkansen trains scheduled to depart before 6 am from stations in Tokyo.

First subway trains (on the 9 Tokyo Metro and 4 Toei Subway lines) start from the first stations by 5:30 am, around 5 am at earliest.
(The first station for a subway train is not always a terminus of the line.)

Which places to visit do you have in your mind?

If I really wanted to get up early my first local train is 4:35 am. Subway starts waking up around 5 am. Shinkansen's from 6 a.m.
