Festivals, parades, gallery openings 2018/3/17 01:59
Hi
Will be in Tokyo and Kyoto the end of the month. Have a rough itinerary planned but would appreciate if anyone could share any gallery openings and or festivals happening between march 28-April 8.

Thanks in advance!

How about researching it on your own.
It only takes a little bit of searching using Google. Maybe two minutes.
Give it a try.

The person above me may seem a bit gruffy, but the "problem" with many festivals is their complete and total lack of "visibility" outside the local area. Loads of festivals don't even so much as get a footnote in any guide, so finding out about them will be pure chance. Google really does help - someone may have blogged about it or something.

This page has a coarse overview:

But nothing in Tokyo and Kyoto on this list you can make it to.

One thing to keep in mind is that you might encounter cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms may flair up festival-like atmosphere here and there. I've seen it happening quite strongly at the Togetsukyo bridge in Arashiyama, Kyoto. Food stalls and everything. No parade though, I don't think it was a full-on festival like that. It was in early April 2015.

Galleries can be museums right? Well there you go:
